I remember a few years back it was harder to find the look you want at an affordable price.
Now, the hottest trends are found in stores of all price points. But to a true fashionista, does price still matter?
In my opinion, the quality, the fabric and the look matters. I have found high quality pieces at minimal cost. I have also found poorly made items at higher prices. If you want more bang for your buck, you need to do your research.
So where do you start?
Right now, my favorite popular spots to shop are: H&M, AGACI, CHARLOTTE RUSSE, MARSHALL’s, ROSS, TJ MAXX, MACY’S, AEROPOSTALE, STEVE MADDEN, ALDO, GUESS and G by GUESS. You can expect to spend anywhere from $10 to $100 on an item, but I doubt if you will be disappointed. But don’t limit yourself to only household names. I have also found some great local indie boutiques around my neighborhood and surrounding vicinities as well.
How to Shop Smart?
1. Pay Attention to the Fabric and/or materials being used.
2. Look at how the item was made.
3. Listen to your friends.
4. Choose Value over Price.
5. Ask yourself “does it make you feel good when you wear it”.
